Kisby Shore Mechanical Contractors has been Atlantic City’s leader in commercial plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning services for more than 50 years. We have built a reputation for delivering high-quality work, fast service, and competitive pricing throughout South Jersey.
Kisby Shore has been a family-run business since the beginning and today, is owned and operated by the Lees family. Jim Lees of Atlantic City, a former vice president of marketing at Atlantic City Electric, bought the company in 1998 from George Kisby, son of the original founder. Five years later, James Lees Jr. joined Kisby Shore to help run the family business. We maintain the excellent Kisby Shore reputation that began in 1951.

Since Kisby Shore has been based in Atlantic City since 1951, you can see the properties where we have been proud to work as a mechanical contractor, including our casinos, schools, hospitals as well as commercial and municipal buildings. James J. Lees
Owner/PrincipalJames J. Lees joined Kisby Shore Corporation in 1998 after purchasing the company from George Kisby. After serving as a Captain in the United States Army, he spent fourteen years as a corporate officer of Atlantic City Electric Company, first as vice president of rates and later vice president of marketing and rates. The electrical engineering graduate of Widener University, continued his education at the University of Michigan and the Edison Electrical Institute. Jim and his family are well known for their generous support of a variety of charitable and nonprofit organizations throughout the community.
James Joseph Lees, Jr
Owner/PrincipalJames Lees Jr. joined Kisby Shore in 2003 and has served a variety of roles within the company including principal and inside counsel and project manager. The University of Pennsylvania and Villanova Law School graduate was an associate attorney in the Litigation Department of Fox Rothschild LLP, in Atlantic City. Before that, James clerked for the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia; The Honorable M. Faith Angell, U.S. Magistrate, and the Superior Court of New Jersey, Atlantic City. He is a contributing member of many South Jersey organizations and is a member of Local 322 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union.
